Regular readers will know that the media is a cause of constant irritation to me. The modern celebrity culture, complete with its vacuous, moronic members and equally mindless admirers, is an area of life I feel no empathy for. Likewise, the mainstream media is, it seems to me, a feeble attempt at brainwashing the public in order to sell its sponsors trinkets and overpriced wares. The mainstream media's main message is one that extols the view that females are wonderful and men are idiots. Programmes as well as TV adverts are awash with this feminist propaganda the intent of which seems to be an exercise in mind control.

Last night I saw a TV advert for a car, the cast of which contained only females except for one man in a scene where there's a bloke getting soaking wet while his clever female family members sleep inside the car. Oh, how I laughed at such a stupid man and oh, how I admired those clever females. This seems to be a common feature these days as many adverts have a cast of only female members unless there's a requirement for a court jester to be humiliated.

It seems to me that the media, especially TV advertisers, think that men are unimportant in their headlong rush to please females. It's also apparent that it is a widely held belief that females are tempted by images of men being humiliated and generally downtrodden. I think this speaks volumes about the female ego and how easily crafty media people can manipulate it. No doubt some women find this empowering but personally I don't think that the manipulation of one's ego has anything to do with empowerment and more to do with mind control of the terminally stupid.

Welcome to the brave new world.
